The Creative Workplace

This thesis was an exploration of creative workplaces and aims to provide an insight into elements that affect productivity. I hoped to highlight issues within the workplace so that improvements to the studio conditions for creative workers can be made. The research was guided by initially exploring relevant theory from secondary sources so as to analyse the current discourse on the topic. I then looked at the workplace from two other alternative viewpoints; current heads of studios and students who have just finished a year working in industry. The methods used to examine this subject were interviews, a questionnaire, and photographic documentation.

I found this topic fascinating and the results of my thesis research even more so. If you wish to find out more please contact me using details found on the contact page.
